Alex Tuininga

Founder, Managing Partner

Alex began his career as an active duty U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer, completing two carrier deployments aboard the USS John C. Stennis, a forward deployment as part of Joint Special Operations Task Force - The Philippines, two years at the Pentagon as a member of the Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Plot, and three years as an analyst and Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Strategic Command’s Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.

After departing active duty service, Alex earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and spent three years as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group, focusing on strategy, analytics, and organizational effectiveness. Alex later served as a strategic advisor to the CEO at Handshake, the premier jobs marketplace for college students, and Ohio President of Apex Service Partners, managing a $25M P&L and 60-member team across three major Ohio metros.

Alex holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, an MA in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Columbus, OH with his wife and son.

Meagan Henry

Partner and Senior Researcher

Meagan is an expert on learning and development, digital education, STEM, gamification, and neurodiverse social and cognitive development. Her professional experience includes research and consulting support for the Walt Disney Company and Sesame Workshop.

Meagan holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and MA and PhD in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University. She is a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), Children’s Media Association (CMA), and Sesame Workshop Alumni Network (SWAN). She lives in New York with here husband and two children.
